Exhaust Affect LAMs?

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by 2stroksmokr, Sep 7, 2012.

  1. Hi there,

Currently have this exhaust on my GS500F, would I be able to sell this as LAMs approved or have to put the stock back on?

Have no idea how these laws work.
  2. Any performance mod is illegal under LAMS. Definitely best to put the stock back on.
  3. How much you want for the screaming demon :p
  4. Don't stress, the roady joint would have to a pack of pricks to knock you back, unless it's too loud.
  5. Or they've read this...
...and aren't about to risk losing their accreditation. As someone pointed out in another thread (I forget which) the Government is starting to crack down on companies that are simply rubber-stamping RWC's.
  6. So what's an allowable mod?
  7. On a LAMS bike, virtually nothing :/
  8. Changes to the seating capacity (ie solo registration for QLD), or something which is designed to allow someone with a physical impairment to ride.

    That's it.
  9. if u dont want that exhaust i shotgun buying it :D
