Engine paint

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by geeth, May 1, 2009.

  1. The black paint on my engine has patches that have chipped off, I am left with sliver patches on the engine.

I am thinking of either getting touch up paint to fill the gaps of stripping the paint off the engine and try to polish it.

I am not to sure which of these would be best. I have a feeling to strip it and polish I would have to pull the engine out to do it properly. I am a little worried if bare steel would be exposed from this.

    Any ideas?

  2. doubt your engine is pure steal.

    Just polish the side covers

sand whatever chips there are in other places and hit them with flame proof enamel
  3. After talking to a friend here, I am thinking that I will strip it and repaint it black and but have the edge of the fins silver.
