Engine cuts when clutch is pulled in

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by Spud Gun, Feb 27, 2007.

  1. This just started happening this morning. I started the bike and moved off, and as soon as I pulled in the clutch to shift gear the bike stalled. This kept happening for a few minutes until the bike warmed and then it returned to normal. I am pretty sure EFI shouldn't allow that to happen. Any thoughts?

  2. Sounds like your sidestand cut out micro swith might be catus or on the way out.Was it after you let out the clutch slightly?Sometime the return spring on the sidestand can come loose or allows the stand to drop slightly with wear, cutting the motor soon as you put it into gear. Some bikes soon as you let out the clutch.
