Emerald Beaconsfield Rd

Discussion in 'Hazardous Road Condition Reports' at netrider.net.au started by oz-riley, Jul 30, 2014.

  1. Not a hazard.

However last week the Speed limit on Emerald Beaconsfield Rd has been lowered from 90km\h to 80 km\h from Paternoster Rd through to Beaconsfield Upper.

The local plod are out in force, enforcing the new speed limit and have caught out a number of locals in cars and on bikes, even though the speed limit was changed about 6 days ago, no warnings have been given, only TIN's. (n)
  2. Thanks for the head ups.

What a load of shit about no warnings and only TINs.
  3. Is that contestable ? Here in SA , when they drop a speed limit they put up a yellow 'changed speed limit' sign underneath the altered speed limit sign and I believe that the road users are given 1 month's grace to adjust to the new limit. Don't know if it's law or not .
  4. There are those yellow signs here sometimes in Victoria but i'm not sure regarding the law on the grace period.
