Electrical problem ZZR-250

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' at netrider.net.au started by izan508, Jul 16, 2008.

  1. I have just encounted my first prob with my ZZR250 a 1990 jap import..

Heading home, I turned on my ignition and my headlight, instrument panel all lit up as usual but only for about 1 second then every thing went dead (I didnt even have time to crank / start it).

Suspecting a loose battery terminal or blown fuse, I checked all but was of no help.

What are the first electical components on the ZZR250 to fail?

What electrical components are known to fail?

    Please HELP...

  2. Dead short somewhere.
These bikes blow speedo and tach lights but not much else goes wrong.
