Electric Motorcycle Developments.

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by snipes, Aug 22, 2012.

  1. This article is annoying because it's obv. aiming for a lay audience and written by someone with little to no riding experience.

still the weight distribution + cornering aspect is interesting.

  2. Neat!

Still hasnt overcome two of the bigger EV problems, 1. price and 2. re-fuelling as quickly as with petrol (or anywhere near it), but definately breaking some new ground. Hopefully rich people will buy these and it will encourage further development
  3. With current energy production methods - the electric vehicle is ridiculous...

    Take Victoria for example:
~80% of our electricity is produced by burning Brown Coal to boil Fresh Water to create pressurised stream to spin a bank of Turbines to rotate a generator.......

Now all this converted energy then needs to be delivered, stepped up/stepped down and distributed to then charge a toxic battery pack made from exotic materials.........

Burning a little bit of 'ol fuel seems better to me.....
