Early ShittyStink Press releases

Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' at netrider.net.au started by vic, Jun 9, 2005.

  1. I was a little bored so had a flick through the ShittyStink media room on their webfright. Some interesting media releases in there.

    That one made me laugh, especially this bit The $1.8 billion private road investment will offer motorists free-flowing, non-stop travel at all times and a minimum speed of 65kmh under normal conditions, even in peak periods.

    Then this,

    Mr Michelson believed CityLink would particularly appeal to Melburnians with busy lifestyles. 'A trip from Dandenong to the airport will cost you $3.77 at most. But if CityLink can take an hour off the journey time during the morning peak, what is that extra time worth?' he said.

    Here is another from another press release

    Sitting in traffic jams is a total waste of time, fuel and money. So when you consider that a motorist driving in peak periods spends 55 minutes a day travelling a distance of just 19kms, it is clear traffic congestion has become a major problem,’ he said. Following its opening, CityLink will aim to slash average travel times during peak periods, creating more time for Melburnians to do they want to do, make driving safer and less stressful, and cut transportrelated costs for Melbourne-based businesses.

    Then there was this in another;

    Until these motorcycle e-TAGs become available, motorcyclists, will not be required to pay CityLink tolls, which is a good, but albeit very temporary, outcome for motorcyclists.

  3. Oh dear.

    all they've done is eliminate the need for e-Tags so they've been up front about it since day one.

    Kind of shoots a few people down in flames doesn't it.

    Now ducking for cover for the flame wars to begin, where's the pop corn.
