Just watched this on DVD this evening. Not much of a review, the film synopsis is out there for anyone who wants to see what it is all about, but it's a film that is both totally uplifting and utterly depressing at the same time. To think that as recently as the late 70's that politicians would propose laws that would discriminate about whether someone could get a job or have access to public housing based on their sexuality is something that I find quite shocking. And from the land of the free, where all men are created equal too. The film is very moving and made me angry, happy, annoyed and then very very sad. If you get a chance to watch it, do so. It might make you take a closer look at the politics of fear and division that we still see.
