  1. Apologies if this is a re post or in the wrong thread.

I just read that Ducatti are doing a recall on a heap of 2012 model bike includIng the entire Monster line up, due to non conformaty in the fuel system which could lead to a fire.
Owners are advised to contact their dealers for more info.

I'm sure any one affected already knows about this, but I thought I would mention it.

  2. I better go check on my ducatti then
  3. Had mine done 2 weeks ago.
    M1100 evo.
Fuel line replacement - some potentially bad components located.

Didnt take long, no real inconvenience.

Letters sent to all affected bikes
  4. What is this "Ducatti" you speak of?
  5. sounds like a Chinese ripoff of Ducati ;)
  6. Is this just fuel lines or the issue with the tanks that have been around for a while as I understand it?

And yes - it may worthwhile having this thread to "Ducati" as opposed to "Ducatti" for the sake of searches etc.
  7. Apologies for the misspelling.
  8. Apparently, some of the fittings may have been improperly 'cured' before assembly.
so they replace the fittings and lines.

    precautionary measure only.

NOT related to the plastic tank issue, that only presents itself if you use ethanol fuel. Use 'real' fuel and there is no problem with the plastic tank either.
