driving lights glass problem

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by bonox, Oct 12, 2006.

  1. One of my driving light pairs has crazed/fogged etc on the inside of the glass. Happened overnight and the things are still sealed as from the factory. Looks like a deposit on the inside of the glass lens (kind of looks a little like the inside of a lamp (the globe) when it fails - sometimes it goes black, sometimes white which this is).

Still using the OEM lamp, so i hope it is not an overheating issue and it still works, but no where near as well as it used to.

Any thoughts on fixing it? The only real access is pulling the lamp and working through the rear hole unless I can find a solvent for the cement holding the glass to the aluminium body.

PS: tried swabbing the inside - it is hard or part of the glass surface itself. Definately not water.
