DR650 v GS650 - My decision was the DR

    although my 800-hunge was not the most lightweight beast...they are made for the dirt side of adventure riding. big tank (27l from memory) , tough as nails, big lazy single, cheap to run, easy to fix.

  4. Can't remember the exact price but from memory you are looking at around $2-2.5k for rack, panniers and topbox. Panniers are around 450 each I think.

    and for QW. Tyres are Metzeler Tourance's. No good for single tracks but ok within reason for dirt roads. Fine on the tar.

  5. Nice. It looks cool with those panniers. I was thinking of getting caribous for mine but have read that they no longer make them for the DR. So the Gobi's were my next choice.
