Does Victoria need to reduce police numbers?

Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' at netrider.net.au started by Sir Ride Alot, Aug 9, 2010.

  1. Nearly all of the police activity reported in the media is about traffic enforcement with a small amount of reporting on real crime.

Is petty traffic enforcement the excuse being used by police to increase their numbers?

Is this a massive waste of the community’s resources when the money could be better used on repairing our roads?

Should the community be looking at reducing the number of police?

Let your elected state representative know how you feel.
  2. nooooooo there is very little traffic enforcement anywhere in the eastern states, it's all SPEED enforcement.
there is no such thing as crime unless you're driving beyond the posted speed limit
