DIY tail tidy

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by deafwish, Mar 21, 2006.

  1. Anyone made or have a link that would help me make a tail tidy/ fender eliminator to rid this horrid mudflap thing i have on the back of my Hornet?
I have cut it back, but want it shorter again.
    Daz.

  2. The link doesn't work..... :?
  3. Thanks all, but not really what i'm after.....
I have seen something called an 'RSEND'.....?
I want a DIY link or a detailed pic, so i can make one from stainless sheet metal.
    Your efforts are appreciated.
  4. Quick question ,is this legal ?.

IF not ....whats the fine ? demerit points?
  5. Motorcycle accessories stocks the rrsend's (look under road/sports gear). Bit expensive IMO, better to make something up yourself that will suit the bike.

To be legal they'd have to keep the indicators at a legal length (not sure of the distance), and also have provision for the stock reflector perhaps? But does it really matter?
  6. sorry mate - never heard of it. can't help there!
  7. Thanks cammo!
That picture is exactly what i need.
    Pretty simple device, really!
  8. ooooooh looks cool....
get a skidmarx undertray, one of those, some mini diamond indicators........
  9. Well yes ,if i was to get busted for it every weekend
Doesn't really matter on my bike ,i was just wondering.
