DIY "earmold"(TM)-type earplugs

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' started by Chairman, Oct 24, 2006.

  1. In the search to retain what's left of my hearing, I found these:

$25ish (inc postage) by paypal, arrived in my letterbox today (1 week, very happy). Will post more when I've bunged the putty in my ear'oles.

I note that the forum on a website that Many Readers Absolutely Abhor (but i find interesting) also has a link to a similar product at $32 plus postage.

  2. Hey Chairman, you have to post a pic to get them to send you the free pair. :p
  3. Save $25 over Earmold - not worth it IMHO
  4. No, closer (IRRC) to $175 because I'll embed a set of MP3 headphones in them.

Nevertheless, happy to hear your thoughts on why they're poorer value than earmolds.
  5. Finally went with a set of earmould plugs today.

I've been using the EAR cylindrical industrial ear plugs happily to date... but the idea of a set of anatomical plugs that I can later have converted to speaker plugs, has a lot of appeal.

I look forward to the Chairman review with interest!
