Dirtbike tyres that don't go flat

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' started by jd, Jun 16, 2006.

  1. Tire Balls - Seems an interesting new invention which uses a series of cells to inflate the tyre so that if a puncture does occur the tyre remains inflated.

  2. Yep they look like a reasonable idea. I saw a quick review in a dirt bike magazine somewhere, maybe ADBM? From memory they were hideously expensive - for trail riding at least, where they're going to need to be replaced reasonably often. I think the other complaint was that they were a bastard to fit and often pinched. Something along those lines anyway.

Overall they sounded like a bit of a hassle at this point but if they do become more widely used there should be some improvements made. Something to look out for I guess...
