Hermann Zapf, the master of font design responsible for over 200 different fonts in, among others, Cyrillic, English and Cherokee. He is immortal in the written world and his legacy is all around us.

    Rest in peace fontmaster.

    RIP font man...

And both my dogs are lazy and would allow a Fox to jump on them, let alone, over them....

  3. I reckon I've used some part or other of his legacy every day of my working life for the last 30 years.
    Thank you Herman.

  4. Ah yes, I too dips me lid to Herr Zapf :)
    An unsung hero.

I think of all those times in the early days of word processing (remember word perfect as well :woot:) and how I would try and use about 10 different fonts for various headings etc. looked a treat printed off on a dot matrix printer!
Must have driven the tutors marking them stir crazy...:p
