  2. Interesting.
Who is going in Melbourne? Which Toyrun?
  3. QUOTE: Starting points include Cranbourne, Dandenong, Eltham, Epping, Ferntree Gully, Gembrook, Lilydale, Yarra Valley, Melton, Melbourne, Wallan and Werribee.
  4. Is that "which" in respect of the two Melbourne toyruns - the long standing traditional Toyrun or the more recent Father Bob Toyrun on an earlier weekend? Or which in terms of which feeder run are you likely to join?
  5. Ah!
Was referring to the traditional Melbourne Toyrun on 20th December.

Have never heard of Toyruns before, however, it sounds like a good charitable event to be part of (along with the family)
I guess the Feeder run starts at one of the 11 locations and ends at Melton Tabcorp park.

Contemplating if I should join one of the Feeder runs (Werribee or Melbourne) or just rock up at Tabcorp park.
  6. Rocking up is fine. Being part of a group ride with bikes adorned in xmas glitter is fun though.

    Yes, of course, fun indeed.
Loved the DGR ride last September and so keen on joining the Toyrun group ride. :)
Hence the question Who is going in Melbourne? Which Toyrun? :)
  8. My partner and I generally join the Ringwood/Lilydale feeder.
It joins up with the Epping feeder at Clifton Hill so is reasonably large by the time you get to Melton.

The Ferntree Gully feeder leaves a little later, but is more of a straight freeway ride.

We also did the Geelong Toyrun last year, which was huge.
Instead of bikes on feeders from all sides of Melb it's one big run and endless procession of bikes from Gelong to Queenscliff. A bit like the GP run.

  10. Awesome!
I'm watch/waiting for more details on the Werribee feeder.
  11. Clifton Hill will be joining up with Carlton then going en masse.
  12. There's no Port Melbourne. It's now become the Royal Exhibition Buildings Carlton Feeder run.

Details will be out any tick of the tock.

  13. Thanks for the heads up.
  14. I'll be leading the ride from the Royal Exhibition Buildings, the new City location replacing the Port Melbourne departure point. We'll be under police escort out over the Westgate Bridge and thence onto the Western Ring Road and the Western Highway to Melton.

Assembly from 7am, we will leave sharp at 09:45. See you there :singing:
