Cracked tank paint - quick preventative fix?

  1. The top of the fuel tank on the GT had some cracks in the paint when I bought it (fair enough - it had been sitting out in the sun in the Northern Territory for a decade), but they've recently increased substantially since June when I got it on the road (I'm it's first rider in 10 years, and have put 10,000km on it - perhaps it's due to all the new bouncing around). I'm wondering what is the best way of covering the tank to stop water (or more water, if that's the cause, though it might not be) getting in there? Any suggestions? Eg something I can spray on?
