CO2 Canisters & Tyre repair kit

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' started by Pedro78, Oct 30, 2008.

  1. Hi Guys,

I bought a tyre repair kit & CO2 canisters so i can be prepared next time i get a flat.
The question i have though is whether its safe to store the CO2 canisters in the under seat storage?
The warning on the label says not to leave in enclosed vehicle as may rapture due to overheating.
Probably a stupid question but i get a fair bit of heat coming from under the seat in heavy traffic so just want to make make sure its safe enough to keep them there.
  2. mines been under the seat for a year and nothing has happened.
  3. don't want to blow ya nuts off

i guess it depends how much heat is 'a fair bit'.
  4. Wrap them in bubble wrap then silver foil.
  5. his nuts ?
  6. Yep gotta protect the family jewels!
