Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' at netrider.net.au started by pete777, Dec 16, 2008.

  1. hi to all who read this message. i am currently in the process of changing my clutch plates except i have one problem.
how do i remove the clutch basket lock nut so i can get to the plates?????
i have made up a pin socket for the nut using a socket, now should i leave the bike in gear or in neutral. if in gear how do i stop the bike from wanting to roll forward. if in netral how do i stop the clutch assembly spinning?
is this something i need a special tool for besides my newly made pin socket?? thnx

  2. In gear and get mate to stomp rear brake?
  3. Easy 120psi and 1x half inch drive rattle gun :)
  4. If you don't have what Bob suggested, get your mates over to help. You will need both of them.
