Close, but safe

  1. So, if anyone knows Greens Rd in Dandenong they know it gets fairly congested near the South Gippy.

Traveling down there towards South Gippy minding my own business, just crossed over the train lines in the left lane not a care in the world.

Next thing I know there is a car pulling out from between the traffic. Looked like it had been heading in the opposite direction and had done a u-turn.

Thankfully we both noticed each other, but it was a bit close for comfort.

I'm not angry at him, as he was being cautious. I'm more angry with myself for not seeing the signs.

    Things I've learned:

    1. Take note of unusually large gaps between cars.
    2. Stick to the far edge of the lane. Away from other vehicles.
    3. The cone practice really helps.
    4. Take note of unusually large gaps between cars!!

So there it is, my first close call.
