Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' started by josh909, Dec 26, 2005.

  1. do monday - friday clearways still apply on public holidays?

    discuss :)

  2. I beleive they do.
  3. ah but is there anyone around to enforce them
  4. with double demerit points if you sneeze without a good reason in NSW, the answer to that question would be yes....
  5. We may have hidden Safety Cameras but at least we don't have Double Demerits point on long weekends........... YET!!!!!!!
  6. Nay.

Australian and NSW Road Rules - Rule 318 part 3

If information on a traffic control device that is at a place indicates that it applies on a particular day of the week, the device does not have effect on a day that is a public holiday for the place unless information on the device states otherwise.

Example. If a loading zone sign indicates that it applies on Monday to Friday between 9 am and 4 pm and information on or with the sign does not indicate that it applies on public holidays, the sign does not have effect on any public holiday falling on a Monday to Friday.
  7. thanks elle bee :D good first post! useful!!
  8. In Vic, with regards to parking signs, public holidays = Sunday. I always assumed clearways were the same.
