Cleaning products... any recommendations?

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by Lectre, Mar 20, 2007.

  1. Hi All.
Just purchased a new bike, that has polished rims and a yoshi can (will start a new thread with pics when I get some pics!).
I'd like to hear your thoughts on cleaning products for the rims &/or can.
also the rear swingarm is powder coated... does this need any special products?

  2. Powder coat woudnt need anything.
Bit of purple polish or any other metal polish and u cant go wrong. at least untill it rains and u have to clean it again.
  3. I use kerosine to clean my rims. Degreases and cleans in one wipe then I wipe over with a dry clean rag/towel to tidy it all up. Takes about 2-3 minutes all up

Some suggestions have been made in http://triumph675.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=104857#104857 which I want to check out, the all in one clean, polish, wax thing, S-100 or something? (Don't know if it's in Australia)

*edit* ooooh, that linked post above looks like an awesome read!
