Hi all, stupid rookie mistake. Just cleaned and lubed my chain for the first time and got some lovely big black smears all over the floor. *note for next time, put cardboard box down* Now as I live in an apartment, the concierge is going to have a growl at me, because they are very very good at making sure the grounds are spotless (which is a good thing). My question is, what's the best product I can use to easily clean up the gunk? I think its a mix of old chain lube, and new chain lube, plus other grit and grime that melted off my chain. I was considering using more chain cleaner (pricey for the whole job) or kerosene. The only downside I can see is that I will need to absorb it all up, rather than smear it clear. Thanks in advance!
