CF bar ends and levers......

Discussion in 'Modifications and Projects' started by flexorcist, Dec 24, 2007.

  1. gave up on getting the billet grips on.... they effectively sent me 2 lefts. the right should be slightly bigger because of the throttle sleeve.

  2. try and "inject" thinners under the grips and they may slide off for another attempt..............plenty og glue can lube them on the way on, or don't bother with glue at all if they are that tight, but warm them with a hot air gun (or hair dryer) to expand 'em before sliding them on.

    hope this helps,

  3. ah nice, i'll try that. i've got some things i can inject thinners under.
  4. science 101
heating metal objects will cause them to expand.
cooling metal objects will cause them to contract.

get the hair dryer/gentle blow torch out!

application of heat is not to be used in conjunction with thinners, activities contrary to this advice could cause you to lose an eye
  5. i gave up on it and bashed it off, (after heating it)....

on went the CF bar ends...
