cbr900 wont start...side stand switch?

Ok, ive just reinstalled my motor recenltly connected everything, except for.
Instrument cluster and speed sensor off the front sprocket, dont have these. Will the bike start without?
While I was moving the bike around, the side stand switch wires got pulled from the side stand. I think this is the problem? Without it connected, does this make it act as a kill switch?
The battery went flat, trying to start it.
    Any ideas?

  2. connect the loose wires and it will start.

the sidestand switch closes a circut to enable the starter.
  3. side stand switch is irrelevant if you are in neutral. but you can bypass it. follow the switch wires up to a plug near your thigh, possibly green coloured. only has two wires. connect these together with a jumper and you can start it in gear with the sidestand down. good for handstand burnouts!
