CBR250RR front rotors.

Discussion in 'Maintenance and Servicing' started by Squiggly, Jan 31, 2012.

  1. Hey guys,
I picked up a 1998 aus delivered cbr250rr last Wednesday, I just took it in today for a RWC so I can transfer it into my name. I have been told that I need new front pads and rotors. I was quoted 170each for rotors and 40each for pads. 420 all up sounds expensive, or is that price average for those parts? If the prices are high, is there a good website I can buy these parts directly from? Direct links to the parts would be appreciated.

  2. Sounds about right, rotors are expensive
  3. is that fitted? if so good deal
  4. Nah that prices i mentioned in my first post is parts only. labour was 80 roughly
  5. Anyone able to tell me whats wrong or different about the ones on ebay for less than half the price?
  6. Quality.

You get what you pay for.

If I was you I'd buy my own disc's and pads and do it yourself.

Actually the ones you posted look ok to me, I'd jump on them.
  7. ^^^ +1000
Easy to do, learn as you go and save yourself some coin.

  8. Just to let people know, they work like a charm, and minimal thinkness is 3mm, not 3.5 like the old set. so i saved $150 and i gain a extra .5mm to use on the rotors.

    win win
