cbr125r 2007 buying tyres

Discussion in 'Maintenance and Servicing' started by Salad Cycle, Jan 18, 2015.

  1. $140 for freight is the cost of another tyre, very expensive. Jake Wilson charge about $70 freight. Who is going to fit the tyres? How much if you purchase locally?
  2. Thank you for your reply.

    There is a misunderstanding.
    ~$60 front tyre
    ~$75 rear tyre
+$Shipping from Germany (I have not got a quote yet).

    I will fit the tyres.

I didn't know you could purchase tires local. I thought you could only get them changed.

Jake Wilson does not offer cbr125r compatible tyres.
  3. Sorry, misread your original post. If freight is say less than $60.00 sounds like an OK deal. I assume you have the gear to fit and balance?

How much to purchase tyres fitted in Australia?

What tyres are they or are they a no brand tyre?

  5. Have you had a quote from MMTS ? Bruce does some pretty good prices.
Just send him the sizes you need.
  6. I believe a pair of fitted tyres costs more than $200.

    They are OEM tyres.

Yeah I can change a tyre.

That is great. $100 a tyre sounds just right.

Sport Demons are not available for cbr125r 2007.

I do not know of this MMTS? Are they in Newcastle. I don't really want to rely on anyone when I can do it myself.
  7. http://www.bikebiz.com.au/products/Pirelli-Sport-Demon-Tyres-Front.html
    80/90-17 Front = 80/90-17 44S TL = $99 at Bikebiz
    100/80-17 Rear = 100/80-17 52P TL = $115 at Bikebiz

local pricing might be similar or slightly higher fitted.
from memory I got sport demons fitted and balanced locally for close to the bikebiz price...
  8. Search the business providers forum for MMTS. They are a Melbourne company, and Bruce is a member and regular contributor.
If his prices are similar to your O/S prices then it may save you some freight.
