CBR F4i vs F5i vs F?

Discussion in 'Bike Reviews, Questions and Suggestions' started by Tenoq, Oct 16, 2005.

  1. Um... there seems to be a few different 'F' models in Honda's 600 sports range. Just wondering if someone could highlight the main differences between them? The dealer I spoke to today didn't give me the impression he really knew much about them.

  2. F was a new lightweight frame. (dropped approx. 20kg)
F4i was fuel injection and minor bodywork changes.
F5 (RR) is lighter, styling changes (more aggressive) and suspension changes.
  3. ... and don't forget... these are the Friendly bikes. ;)
  4. The F5i is the 06 replacement for the f4i not the RR
  5. :D
  6. Hi Guys, just some more info on the F5...

The Aussie F4 was the sportiest version of the honda CBR600 before the CBR600RR came out in 2003. The new F5 is softer than the F4, it's more of a 'Sports Tourer' now. The main difference is the suspension. The F4 had fully adjustable suspension (front and rear comp./rebound and front/rear preload). The F5 ONLY has adjustable rear preload. Hope this helps :D

  7. Don't frget the F1 11, very light once taken off :)
