carby rejet

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by haydenoc, Oct 17, 2010.

  1. Hi all,

ive recently had a new after market exhaust/muffler installed on my gs500.

since then, ive noticed a slight "miss" in the flow of the engine. This is at idle and at cruising speed mainly ( 60-70km). I'm guessing this is a carby issue. with the old exhaust on, i didnt have this problem. I have slight back firing during gear down change.

questions i have are 1). how much should i expect to pay for a carby rejet?
2). any suggestions in syd( sutherland/st.george area prefered) to get this done?

  2. I recently went through the same deal. I installed the jets myself, but paid roughly $15 per jet from memory. All up there are 6 jets. Took me about half a day at home to do.
  3. See my reply in your other post.
