  1. Hi guys, quick question before I potentially make a fatal mistake....

Do bikes take the same oil as cars? Ie. Can I goto Kmart and get some shell helix hx5 ? Or is the oil ratings for bikes somehow different?

I'm on the phone at the moment and searching the forums hasnt dug up anything yet!

  2. Not usually although there are a few exceptions.
In particular, car oils often have friction modifiers that can be unfriendly to wet clutches in most bikes.
Go to the Penrite or Fuchs Web site and put your bike model in and they will list recommended oils. Don't have the links at present but easy to find.
  3. OK excellent.... thanks for the help!
  4. Locking before Smee implodes.

    Use search fella.
