Can Pluto become a planet again?

Discussion in 'The Pub' started by cjvfr, Oct 13, 2014.

  1. Poor Pluto relegated to dwarf planet status, thrown out of the Solar system club on the outer for over eight years. Bumping around with the other dwarf planets such as Sedna and Eris. But all may not be lost, astrophysicists from Harvard have started lobbying for Pluto to regain its planetary status.

  2. I hope it can: Pluto Pups haven't tasted the same since it was relegated to minor status....
  3. Just throw some asteroids at it. What doesn't destroy it will only make it bigger, as they say.

  4. Yeah, losing Pluto completely messed up the planet order mnemonic. Will be good to have it back. Otherwise, I've got no way of knowing who my mother sits near.
  5. I thought Pluto was Mickey Mouse's dog. But yes let Pluto be a planed again. Just because it's a bit erratic in it's orbit doesn't mean it should have been demoted.
