Bus Lane & 'B' Traffic Lights (NSW)

Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' started by tjslip, Mar 30, 2005.

  1. I know riders are allowed in bus lanes but when the bus lane approaches a traffic light with the special 'B' on it are we allowed to use them and imagine them as an 'M' light?

    Cheers, T.
  2. yes, but only if you are in a bus lane, not a bus only lane.
  3. cool law - do any other states have something similar?
  4. Yes ACT in Bus Lans and B lights. However there may be some bus only lans.
  5. A few of these lanes / lights are in Brisbane also I wonder if that rule applies up here?

Would make Roma Street a little nicer to get up.

  6. I didn't realise we were actually allowed to travel in bus lanes. i've been doing it recently regardless, but its good to know i can do it legally which is less risky than lane splitting (and quicker when i have a whole lane to myslef!! :D)
