British Pathé collection online

  1. British Pathé have uploaded 85,000 historical newsreels to Youtube. There is some amazing stuff in that collection including quite a few clips from Australia.

    This 1966 film from the early days of St Ives Police Driver Training Centre about motorcycle training is cool. The place looks a bit different these days.

    Isle of Man TT from 1920 is interesting. Not as fast and exciting as the modern race.

  4. Maybe not as fast but they still averaged nearly 52MPH that year.

    When you consider the bikes, the brakes, the protective gear and the road conditions, it would still be pretty exciting.
