Brake Lights not working

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by nelly, Oct 24, 2007.

  1. I have just noticed that my brake lights aren't working on my RGV.

Checked the fuse, looks to be OK.
Anyone suggestions on where I can look next would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Did you check the bulb? :?
  3. OK, first things first. the front brakes and the rear brake have separate switches. If the front brakes trigger the stop light, but the back brake doesn't, or vice versa, then you have a SWITCH problem.

If on the other hand neither front nor rear brakes trigger the stop light, then you almost certainly have a proble with the light itself (crook bulb) or a blown fuse in the circuit. If the tail light is still working, then the brake element in the (dual-element) bulb is blown and you'll have to replace it anyway.
