Braided Brake lines

Discussion in 'Cruisers' at netrider.net.au started by peter-reebok, Jan 3, 2009.

  1. Bought a set of HEL braided lines about a month ago. Had them on previous bikes - to me is a safety feature, not a mod.
Decided to fit the fronts today, knowing it would be a prick of a job.
On the 109, the headlight cowl needs to be removed to route the lines properly. Easy - but getting it back on and aligned right is a real bastard of a job - especially since I also have a HID headlight and associated bits hidden in there.

And bleeding brakes is one of my favourite jobs - NOT.

Anyway - success - and the difference is measurable.

Will leave the rear for another day - have to remove the exhaust system for that one!.

As a bonus for me, decided to rotate the bars a few degrees to customise the riding position for me. What a difference about 10 degrees makes!.
