Good evening ladies and gentleman, first of all i wish you all a happy 2016 if you see this post tomorrow or happy new years eve if you not drunk and hanging around with bikes like me tonight. I present to you my 1986 Kawasaki BR250 or as the call them in Japan CS250. Watercooled single Cyl 4 stroke. Being my first ever bike to purchase im quite happy for how much i got it for and the condition it was in. I did a little research on the bike but could barely find much about it, I have factory specs and whatnot but very little people who have worked on them. It was not until after i bought it home and found that even finding oem parts was going to be difficult but luckily i shouldn't be needing much. Being my first bike (Unregistered too) I wanted to have a go 'building' it. I've always loved the style and personality that cafe racers create and aim to try make this bike something special. Plans at this current time are pretty straight forward, everything out, frame powder coated along with other bits, engine cleaned and freshly painted, new tires, chain and sprockets and clip on handle bars. There will be many many other things to do but those give you an idea! Very keen on finishing this project but i don't want to rush it. If you read my post in the welcome lounge you'll know that im a newbie to the bike scene but have strong mechanical knowledge from working on cars for years plus the help of my father should help quite abit ! Thanks everyone. Stay posted, pictures of the build will come soon even though i didn't manage to take many of the disassembled bike before it was stripped! This was in no less than 48hr of ownership, i couldn't help myself. She needed new tires and drivetrain so why not right?
