Bought my first bike

Discussion in 'New Riders and Riding Tips' started by MacFfy, Aug 12, 2006.

  1. well today I finally took the plunge and bought my first bike... a Hyosung GT650S.

It took 2 hours of hard haggling but I walked away with:

the Bike (which comes with throw over panniers, luggage rack heated grips, digital speedo fuel and trip meter)
    all on road costs
    dri-rider jacket
    waterproof pants (slip overs)
    joe rocket shoes
    xena disklock
    disklock reminder
dealer tshirt and baseball cap (woohoo!)

for just over $9000.... I'm happy!!!

so as of next saturday I'll be riding one of these...

If you're in brisbane, look out for me!!!
  2. Congrats man!! :)
  3. It appears that you are a good haggler. Well done, nice bike. I'm thinking about getting a GT650R in some months time.
  4. no... just a law student. negotiation is one of my "core skills" (so they keep telling us!). had to walk away 3 times before I got a deal I was happy with.... next time I'll get it a bit lower! ;)
  5. Huh? how many of these do you plan on buying? :p
  6. who can tell.......... it's kind of addictive isn't it!!!
  7. Good result Mr Haggler.
  8. (Ms Haggler)
  9. Nice looking bike, I'm jealous of the heated hand grips, rode over to Noojie today with hubby and it was bloody freezen.
