Just after a little advice: I just bought an '04 CBR600RR from Team Moto Moorooka on Monday, picked it up Tuesday and rode home (~5KM) - it was running great. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to ride on account of work, so I didn't start it up again until tonight (Wednesday) - it won't start! The engine turns over but it doesn't appear to have enough juice - I checked the battery, it's on 11.8V and seems old. When I bought it, the salesman actually mentioned that they thought it needed a new battery but I was assured that it was replaced before I picked it up. Indeed, on Tuesday it started up easy-as. Now, I didn't buy the extra warranty, but it seems a little harsh to sell a bike that only just starts on the first day, and breaks on the second. Should I bother to try and get them to fix it, or just tackle it myself? Edited: 04/06/2011 Follow up! I rang Team Moto and they even offered to pick up the bike from my place, as it doesn't start. I just brought them the battery and they did a charge and test over-night. The battery was indeed gone, so they gave me a new one for free (awesome). I put it back in and it's running sweet now. They were pretty much excellent about the whole thing, and I'm pretty sure they could have just left me to fix it myself if they really wanted, so basically it was a great experience at Team Moto Moorooka. Edited: 05/06/2011 Follow up 2 It conked out at an intersection, battery is flat again (even though it was brand new & charged yesterday). Had it towed back to Team Moto, looking forward to seeing what else is wrong. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not blaming Team Moto here, I don't even know what the root problem is. Edited: 08/06/2011 Follow up 3 Team Moto fixed it in like 5 hours, but I had to pay. It was bit less than I was expecting so I just paid it and I'm pretty happy that the bike appears fine. It seems to be charging now, but I'll do a few tests over time to confirm.
