  1. Hey all, searched high and low across the RTA site and these forums...cant find an answer!
How long is a blue slip valid for after the inspection ?

  2. it used to be 28days for pinkslips and blueslips, about 6 months ago pinkslips were changed to 45days (from memory) but I cant remember if this included blueslips also (ring a mechanic to be sure, this is for NSW)

edit its 42days for a pinkslip (and your right the RTA website sux for blueslip info lols)
  3. Found in amongst alot of other crap in their "vehicle inspectors bulletin"

"The validity period of light vehicle ‘pink slips’ and e-Safety Check inspection reports will increase from 28 days to 42
days from the date of issue.
The new validity period is consistent with renewal registration notices, which are sent to customers up to six weeks
before registration expiry. Customers will have more flexibility in obtaining their ‘pink slips’ and paying for their
registration at any time during the six-week period.
These changes do not apply to Heavy Vehicle Authorised Inspection Station ‘pink slips’ and the Authorised Unregistered
Vehicle Inspection Station ‘blue slips’, which are only valid for 28 days from the date of issue."
