Black Spur motorcycle safety works

Discussion in 'Roads, Touring, Journeys, and Travel' started by lil, Aug 2, 2008.

  1. These works have started with new armco installed near Dom Dom and allarmco on outside bends are getting a solid piece of steel to block the bottom "open" part of armco barriers. They actually look like they might be the goods. I expect they would distribute force reasonably well, and probably have some amount of flex between the posts.

Better than WRB IMO, even if only all in the head
  2. They did the same on the road to Lake Mountain a couple of years ago. Look they are trying to stop under runs.
  3. Apparently they are doing the same on sections of the GOR & also some of the roads leading to it ie Deans Marsh to Lorne. Good to see some money being spent in the right areas :) :)
  4. Double layered armco means limbs and bits can't go under and be removed by the posts, that's got to be good.
They did a small section at crash corner, but until now it never occurred to them to do the rest. See, crashing can be a good thing, it wakes them up a bit :p
