Bike security? why not

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by bluer6, Apr 17, 2013.

  1. Seen a fair few older bikes stolen lately and wondering Why people with older/dirt bikes etc are not taking more precations to stop this?

i know if someone wants it they are going to get it. but i cant see someone going to the effort/risk to throw a 25 year old 250 in a van for a few bucks when there are much more dersirable bikes next to them to break. i see them being more joy riders who are going to break the steering locks and hotwire the very basic ignitions. why no hidden kill switches etc?

  2. Because most don't think it'll ever happen to them....
