Bike friendly Accommodation ?- Lakes Entrance

Discussion in 'Roads, Touring, Journeys, and Travel' started by bigwheels, Oct 22, 2008.

  1. Myself and a mate or two are heading to the snowy ride and we thought we might head off early and enjoy an extra day or two on the road. After taking a detour over Mt Hotham we would be looking for a bike friendly place to stay and wondered if anyone can recommend a good pub/cabin/motel to stay. Probably around Lakes Entrance to Cann River region. Did think about staying at the Blue Duck at Anglers Rest (again) but it would leave a pretty big day from there to Thredbo. Any suggestions?

  2. There USED to be one, I think we might have rooted it for you.

My tip would be to call the pub in Swan Reach, there's a great road from there down to Metung you shouldn't miss and it's a pretty place.
  3. They should be right if they dont mention NR

The establishment Loz is referring to is the motel attached to the RSL. Cheap and comfortable enough.

  5. Er, sort of...

They didn't have undercover bike parking anyway, so bugger 'em.

    Check out swan reach.
