Discussion in 'Businesses and Service Providers' at netrider.net.au started by Kaizer2015, May 26, 2015.

  1. Hey guys,

Im living in. Japan right now, and Im looking to sell my Ducati 899 Panigale that i bought here. i still haven't sold it, but does anyone know any good reliable freight service to ship my bike to whoever buys it in Australia??
I dont have much experience in it.

Please pm me if interested in the bike, please reply if any advice on freight question!

  2. It is not as easy as that, it will need to be checked for compliance with Australian standards. 8 Steps to Importing a Vehicle

You can just contact a general freight company if you are happy to handle all the details your self. Or http://shipmybike.com.au offeres a full service.

Personally though I think it would be cheaper for you to sell it in Japan if you can. Good Luck. (y)
  3. Hi Kaiser2015.

As it happens, I do know of a Sydney (well near enough) company that seems to regularly ship bikes from Japan.

They tend to specialise in older, more.....interesting?.... bikes, but might be able to help you out.

Try contacting http://oldgoldmotorcycles.com.au/ .... no guarantees, Bruce might even offer to buy your bike in Japan......<shrug>

As Chris has given you the hint, importing motorbikes to Oz isn't THAT easy.
