  1. HI S.A. riders,
New rider and came across this the other day...wow this is going to piss people off cars and buses , . i would prefer lane splitting .
Some bike lanes extended pass the the white line at a intersection ( pass the red light cameras) so Im confused.
Would love to hear other Adelaide rides thoughts.

Bus lanes, tram lanes, truck lanes

Motorcycle riders are allowed to ride up to 100 meters in the lane to enter or leave the road.
    Bicycle lanes

Motorcycle riders are not allowed to use a bicycle lane, but may ride up to 50 meters in the lane to enter or leave a driveway or intersection.

  2. Don't know the specifics of SA law but the limited distances within bike and bus lanes when entering or leaving have always been the case here in Vic so I am surprised if it wasn't the case there. Of course it could be a state law harmonisation thing.
    • Agree Agree x 2
  3. Is that new
  4. Same in QLD. Applies to cars as well.
  5. No.
Been law in Vic for a long time now.
    Same deal with bike lanes.
