Best place to park @ crown?

Discussion in 'The Pub' at netrider.net.au started by Mikey213, Apr 10, 2013.

  1. Where is the best and safest place to park my bike at/near crown casino, that won't cost an arm and a leg?

    can you park on the footpath near the river?

    and what is the go with gear (helmet especially) is it frowned upon to be carrying it around crown.. is there somewhere you can store it/leave it..

    i don't tend to leave my helmet on the bike if i can't see it.

    cheers.

  2. Parked the car there 3 times over the last week. There were heaps of bikes parked near the enterence to the paid carpark off Haig st. There were also a few bikes parked next to the river aswell.

  4. This probably well out of date info, but on the sort of main drive in level for buses and such like, there used to be free motorbike parking.

    It way not be there now, but, up stairs at the entrance to the casino, there was a free "cloak room" arrangement, exactly because you ain't allowed into the casino with a helmet. You can (or certainly could) leave all your biking gear there for as long as you wanted.

  6. Undercover by the Haig St carpark is definitely the best, as mentioned. There's a camera pointed at it for what it's worth (probably not a whole helluva lot). Park with the rest of the bikes for safety in numbers :p

    Not entirely sure where the cloak room is these days, lots of changes at Crown. Should be one of the river entrances. IIRC, and there's no guarantee, I think it's like $5?

  7. sounds good for the parking side of things.

    after CC mentioned there is a cloak room, i googled it.. on crowns website it mentions "for functions only" and something about being able to hire a locker on B1? for 2$

    whats the go with that...

    @Gurbachen you work there yes?

  8. Sure do friend. Sorry I can't be more helpful with the cloak room thing, it used to be at one of the riverside entrances but everything just got the shit renovated out of it so I'm not too sure anymore. I don't work main floor either
