Bent metal bracket - where to fix?

Discussion in 'Maintenance and Servicing' started by ebf00, Apr 20, 2015.

  1. Hi guys,

I may have lost my temper at some stage when trying to remove a bracket from my bike for my topbox...

Anyway, I've bent the bracket slightly - where could I take it to get put back into place? I'm assuming it would just need to be placed into a vice and a qualified person could probably reshape it?
  2. bolt it back on, and bend carefully. source - i have a top box mount that bent
  3. A General Engineering and metal fabrication place.

  4. Almost any general workshop or mechanics should have a vice and be able to fix it. Try an exhaust fitter.
Just take both brackets in and ask them to make them both look the same. Take the bolts too as they might be able to use them during the repair if the holes are threaded.
