bent forks on 2000 cbr 929

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by dags260, Feb 17, 2006.

  1. how do i tell if the forks are bent or not?? they look pretty much spot on but id prefer to be safe...
if they are bent is there some where who straightens them?
    thanks for your help

  2. Bob Martin Engineering out in Ferntree Gully are your best bet. They will be able to tell if they're bent and/or straighten them if possible.
  3. If they are bent they are cactus (unlikely). If they are twisted in the clamp (far more likely) then fixing the problem is very easy and cheap (well, in terms of repairing a bike). If they look straight and the bike rides comfortably in a strainght line and around corners, there's probably nothing to worry about. :)
