Benambra Corryong Rd

Discussion in 'Roads, Touring, Journeys, and Travel' started by Bow1200, Oct 9, 2016.

  1. Hi All

We are a group of 6 travelling across the mountains on the way to Tassie in Feb 2017. 4 on adventure bikes and 2 on Harley soft tails.

Has anyone ridden this route recently and how hard going is the 60 KM of unsealed road for Harleys?

If not too challenging it would save 2 hours and be a pretty interesting ride!

  2. Right now it is closed to 2WD vehicles, but we were up there recently in 4WD's & a group of motorbikes came through.
The Corryong side is a bit corrugated through the corners.
The Benambra side has a few tight corners that won't get much sun.
If it was dry, I'd ride my bike through it without hesitation. Just take it easy.
    Beautiful country.
