  1. *thank you for holding, all of our operators are currently busy, your call is important to us*

    Who brought the popcorn?
  2. You are always glad to hear in these situations that your call was important to them. Imagine if your call was unimportant to them how long you would have to wait. ;)

  3. OMG i called them this morning, 10min, got through to someone, couldnt answer my query, passed me onto a specialist, 30min later, got through.
  4. But did THEY answer your query? lol
  5. G'day everyone,...

Why not ring reverse charges,... then they can pay for your waiting around,...?

    Dr Who?
  6. I had an experience similar to this the other day I had just moved out of my house and had tenants moving in so needed to disconnect the phone, electricity, gas, internet etc. Spent half a day on the phone and only about 25mins of that was talking to someone.
  7. The last time i was on hold with Vodafone, Mrs Messy drew me a picture.
I think its appropriate to share it here in this thread :).

  8. I think more appropriate waiting music should be "This is the song that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friend ..."

I always try to call at 9 in the morning when everyone else is asleep / asleep at the wheel / asleep at their desk.

Dr Who, the problem with reverse charges is someone on the other end of the line needs to pick up and accept the charges. By the time that's happened, I think the Tel$tra worker would have hung up on you. :p
  9. I tried calling them a couple of months ago. Sat on hold for 30 minutes being told to wait, then the message changes to 'Try our website...' and the ****ers disconnected the call.

Fair to say my online enquiry was not particularly polite...
  10. I called them today - took about 25 mins. The guy on the other side was super helpful though. Polite as well.
  11. You must have been calling from your DeLorean while travelling 88 mph and got transferred to VicRoads in a different parallel universe, it's the only logical explanation.
  12. Hehe. I did mutter 'Great Scott' when I heard how polite he was.

Wasn't expecting this but 25 mins is still a long time when calling during lunch.
  13. Update - yes I did eventually speak to someone who could answer my query - in a simple 2 minute conversation, 35 min wait for a two minute outcome = winning!

  14. Took me 40 minute to get em a couple of days ago trying to find out why they had sent me a replacement drivers license instead of my motorcycle learners permit plastic.
She then asked me if i had recently ordered a trailer permit for some bizarre reason.

On the upside was one of their on hold messages i relayed in the "A call to arms" thread which was nice.
